British Forces Resettlement Services (BFRS)

BFRS is a Social Enterprise that was created to work in support of the Armed Forces Community (AFC). We support them by working with companies across the UK that are looking to hire, re-train, and offer career advice to the them. 

We successful host National Careers Fairs across the country and our aim is to continuously introduce the AFC to companies and try to ensure they are fully aware of the benefits of employing from this community.

Community Centre

There is a caretaker at the Centre each morning during the normal working day. Centre bookings for a youth or family activity by arrangement with the Community Development Worker on 222469 or Mil Ext 2469.

AWS and Community Dev. Worker

The Army Welfare Service and the Community Development Worker have offices within the Community Centre, which is located on Firbank Crescent.

Health Visitor, AFF Centre, Creche

Opposite the centre are two new portakabins. One holds the Health Visitor, along with the AFF Training Centre, which are presently trailing two computer courses. The other portakabin is used by the Creche for a large play area.

The Cherry Tree Playgroup,

Mon-Fri (term time only) 0915-1200hrs.
Mon-Fri (term time only) 0915-1200hrs and 1300 - 1500 hrs.
Regular discos for youngsters are advertised in the Patch News.
Tues 1900 - 2100 hrs.
Fri 1800 - 2000 hrs.
Weds 1730 - 1900 hrs.
