Bishopstrow House

Warminster BA12 9HH, UK – 01985 212312

Such a lovely place to stay staff helpful and friendly food amazing. Definitely would love to come again. Room amazing and loved the garden out side the room. Swimming pool Big and lovely spa. Also a gym..

Fine old country house hotel with spa (with inside and outside pools). Rooms are well furnished in a mixture of period and contemporary pieces. Good food and attentive staff. Didn't use the spa so can't comment.

The George Inn

Longbridge Deverill, Warminster BA12 7DG, UK – 01985 840396

Fantastic pub, have been coming here since I was young. Have always really enjoyed eating here, the food is always very nice. The service we get there is amazing, people are always very friendly. The menu isn't to over the top. The interior decor and ambience are good quality, the beer garden is also impressive and they have a small pond. Car park is spacious and has disabled parking. Definitely worth a visit.

A handy and affordable staging point to move in on Longleat. Me and the wife had a room for the night and ate elsewhere for dinner so cannot make comment on the evening meals. The room was perfectly adequate but potentially starting to get tired. Our big complaint is the noise, not of the road but from the floorboards. Ridiculously noisy! People getting in from drinking - woken up. People leaving early in the morning - woken up. People having a midnight toilet visit.... mattress also not the best. Breakfast was pretty decent!

My favourite pub. Great menu and superb atmosphere. Family run, intimate restaurant and lively bar. Not to be missed!

We stopped here to end our 8mile walk with fellow dog lovers. Cute beer garden at rear and dogs welcome. We drank delicious rose while chilling and resting our aching legs. Lovely cosy country pub.

Bath Arms

Best roast dinner I've eaten out! Beef was lovely and tender, veg cooked perfectly. Delicious pudding. Everyone had a different roast and everyone was pleased with the food

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Deverill End

Deverill End, Sutton Veny BA12 7BY, UK – 01985 840356

We had a very rewarding stay at Deverill End. From the get go, we were treated like family by our wonderful hosts. Reservations and communication through email made it a very simple process to make a booking. There is a rich history in this family and in this home. The rooms were impeccable with many extras like fresh flowers in each room and towell warmers. So glad we discovered this treasure just a short drive from Stonehenge.

We stayed at Deverill End for one night and had the most wonderful time. The owners Joy and Sim are wonderfully welcoming and their home is so beautiful and so well cared for. The views of the garden are wonderful and the place is so peaceful and immersed in nature. Perfect for a weekend of walking, SPA, and tourism in the surroundings! :D

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Campsites and Caravan Parks

Hunters Moon

Warminster, Wiltshirer BA12 9PA, UK – 01985 846300

Very tranquil and makes you happy to be close to; birds, trees, ducks and common carp. The staff are hardly in due to underfunding. Beautiful log cabins with comfortable furniture. Cabins are cleaned as soon as you leave and are spotless. Shower head and shower need improving. Beautiful scenery and self catering in cabin for those on a budget or like to cook. Needs a service where you can hire: tea towels, duvets and bathroom towels. There is a laundrette in Warminster to, do your laundry and it is an 1/2 hour walk or a 15-20 minute drive. Metal kitchen utensils need to be replaced with plastic ones to save money on pans and keep the pans from getting scratched. The fact you can hire out the lake for a week whilst there or just go for a day with £5:00 is good. Remember to go to the post office. It is £12 for a week fishing license and about £5:00 for a day. Morrisons is the nearest supermarket down the road and is a 10-15 minute drive or a 25 minute walk.

Lovely venue for a party or a quiet meals. Wonderful views of the lake

Botany Camping and Glamping

111 Bradley Rd, Warminster BA12 7JY, UK – 07713 404233

A great campsite, located well for Longleat,Stonehenge and a huge amount of local walks. The site is well provisioned, and the glamping tents are stocked with everything you could possibly need!

We had a great time. Especial loved the open roof showers

Center Parcs Longleat Forest

Warminster BA12 7PU, UK – 0344 826 7723

Center Parcs is excellent. I have visited annually for 23 years and it keeps getting better! There are 6 or 7 restaurants which cater for all tastes. There are all sorts of activities including creative activities and sports. Mid week breaks are often slightly cheaper so if pursing dates it's worth a look if budget is a consideration.

Great place for a family holiday. Lots of activities to do (although quite a few will cost you additional money). The swimming area has been recently refurbished, and is now huge; it'll keep your kids entertained for hours! Nice selection of restaurants and other shops. Also, right next door to Longleat safari park, which makes for a good place to visit on the morning of the day you leave.
